So I am back up to my maximum weight ever.
After the Rhythm and Hues bankruptcy I gained alot of weight,
and then since I've been back in Portland, that trend has continued.
So I've finally decided to do something about it. I hired a personal trainer,
very nice, who I've met with 3 times. I finally made it back to Weight Watchers last week, and hit 326 lbs. Pretty big!
Also, my sedentary lifestyle has me pretty weak. Apparently following Mark Twain's old saying 'If I feel the urge to excercise, I go upstairs and lay down until it passes' is not a good adage to live by.
So my trainer, Kristin, encouraged me to set some thought down as a method of motivating my actions. A good idea really, and thus this blog is born.
I don't really expect many, if any, to read it. But it'll be good for me to set some goals, record some progress and see how things are.
So, today I've already walked 9465 steps, part of that being the 2.4 miles I've been walking with my co-workers. Also, I believe I am still on target for today's point counts, but I'll have to verify on my WW tracker.
Goals Still For This Week:
- Stop by the gym at Mt. Scott to check it out, and possibly get a card
- walk twice tomorrow w/the co-workers
- drink the water!
- stay on program
- get up early and walk the dogs
- take a picture(s) for this blog!
Long term goals for a year, year and a 1/2 from now?
- get back to 185
- lower my insulin or eliminate it
- survive my father (that's a biggie)
- re-integrate exercise and activity as a daily necessity in my life
Perhaps, as in many other things, 3 times is a charm!
